Band & Orchestra

Welcome to the Dwight D. Eisenhower High School Band and Orchestra webpage! We are excited to welcome you to our big, happy, musical family! The Band and Orchestra program at Dwight D. Eisenhower High School is comprised of five curricular course offerings: Performance Band (601), Honors Performance Band (602), Preparatory Band (605), Orchestra (650/652), and Percussion Ensemble (605FP). Students in each of these courses will be assessed on their musical proficiency through individual, small-group, and large-group evaluation. Members of each of these ensembles perform at a variety of concerts throughout the year that take place outside of the regular school day. If you have questions about how to join any of these courses, please see Dr. Antos (x4095) in room 339 during the school day.

For prospective students and families: please know that our band and orchestra members are enrolled in many different academic courses, extra-curricular activities, and athletics that fall outside the realm of music. Students, you can do all of these things while still participating in our program! Musical instruction educates the whole child, which is a key tenet in our district's vision statement. Let us be involved in creating some of your favorite high school memories!
