Mr. Cohn’s Retake policy

In my classes students may re-take any quiz or test in an attempt to improve their score by fulfilling the following requirements and guidelines:

Requirements:

  1. Students MUST have completed all assigned assignments (both classwork and homework)
  2. Verbally express a desire to re-take a quiz or test
  3. Complete a self-directed study guide of the material reviewing quiz/test content
  4. Obtain approval of the study guide prior to testing
  5. Schedule re-takes prior to the next unit examination. If the student does not show up to take the rest at the agreed upon time, they forfeit the right to retake that particular test and must keep the last grade earned.

IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO SIGN UP FOR RETAKES!

Guidelines:

  1. Retakes will cover the same objectives but will NOT be the same test
  2. Retakes may be fewer questions and/or a different format then the original test.
  3. If the re-take grade is higher, the highest grade will be recorded. Not the average!
  4. Retakes will not be taken during class time! You will need to schedule time before or after school.
