My name is Sarina Kledzik and I am the sponsor of the Drama Club and I direct the Fall Play and co-direct the Spring Musical. I used to live in Los Angeles where I worked as an actress before I decided to move back to Chicago to become a teacher. I have worked at Eisenhower for 14 years and I have loved every second of it. I love introducing students to my passion for the arts and I hope they enjoy their experiences in the drama program as much as I have.
Upcoming meeting times for Drama Club: Regular meeting times will be specific Friday's from 3:30 to 4:15 in 136. The

Synopsis of the Fall Play:
The Diary of Anne Frank (also known as The Diary of a Young Girl) is the real-life account of Anne Frank, a Jewish teenager hiding from Nazi persecution during World War II. From 1942 to 1944, Anne, her family, and four others concealed themselves in a secret annex above her father’s office in Amsterdam.
In her diary, Anne records her fears, hopes, and reflections as she matures from a lively, curious girl into a thoughtful young woman under extraordinary circumstances. She writes about daily life in hiding, her struggles with her mother, her bond with her father, her budding feelings for Peter (another boy in hiding), and her dreams of becoming a writer.
The diary also provides a vivid picture of the dangers of Nazi-occupied Holland, the constant threat of discovery, and the psychological strain of confinement. Despite everything, Anne maintains a deep sense of hope, writing, “In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.”
The hiding place was discovered in August 1944, and the residents were arrested. Anne died of typhus in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945, just weeks before liberation. Her father, Otto Frank, the only survivor, published her diary after the war, fulfilling Anne’s wish to become a writer.
