Group Interpretation

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Hello! My name is Luke Langlois and I will be directing the 2026 Group Interpretation production of CLUE! I am so excited that you are considering auditioning. I have directed the past five years of Group Interpretation productions: Toy Story in 2025 (State Qualifier), To Catch a Thief in 2024, Percy Jackson & The Olympians : The Lightning Thief in 2023, The Little Mermaid in 2022, and the Zoom production of Come From Away in 2021.

Can you give a synopsis of the show?

It’s a dark and stormy night, and you’ve been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well, dead. So whodunit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, CLUE is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.

What is Group Interpretation?

Group Interpretation (GI) is a 30 minute competitive group play. We don’t use props, or costumes in a traditional sense. We also have a limited performance space and a standardized set that consists of 16 wooden pieces that we are free to use in creative ways. Group Interp is all about how you can tell a story as a full group while the performance or character were meant to be as one. Think black-box theater meets radio play.

What are the dates for auditions and callbacks? Where are they taking place?

Auditions are Wednesday, December 10 & Thursday, December 11 starting at 4:10PM. Auditions will be handled slightly differently than in years past. Since this is an activity where you need to trust each other in the cast, we will be holding group auditions. Readings and Collaboration will be conducted in order to determine casting. If you cannot attend please contact me ([email protected]) via email as soon as possible. All auditions will be held in CASA.

I am involved in other Winter or Spring Sports and Activities, can I still audition?

Yes, however, please check with your other sponsors or coaches prior to auditions to confirm practice schedules can be adjusted for participating in GI. If you are auditioning I will expect you to have already cleared this with your coach and our rehearsal schedule will not have conflicts.

I also want to audition for the Musical, what should I do?

Participation in both Musical and Group Interpretation for the 2026 Season will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and a meeting must be scheduled with Musical Director (Tina Jacklin) and GI Director (Luke Langlois) as soon as possible to discuss the possibility.

When are the performance dates?

Conference Festival : Saturday, March 14

Sectionals Tournament : Saturday, March 21

State Finals : Friday, March 27 & Saturday, March 28

I have a question you didn’t answer.
