Speech Language Pathologist
Hello!
My name is Caitie Clark I am the Speech Language Pathologist here at Eisenhower High School. I received both my bachelors and masters degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Illinois State University (Go Redbirds!). As a school-based Speech Language Pathologist(SLP) it is my role to provide speech, language, and communication therapy to students with Individualized Education Plans, as well as, provide consultation to students, staff, and family members and administer assessments to determine the need for speech and language services in the educational setting.
Some of the areas that therapy may focus on include:
Speech Disorders- articulation, voice, and fluency
Language Disorders- receptive language, expressive language, semantics, syntax, and pragmatics
Social Communication Disorders- trouble with the social use of verbal and non-verbal communication
Cognitive Communication Disorders- difficulty with organizing thoughts, memory, attention and problem solving
