Hi! My name is Kayla McSweeney—welcome to my page!
I’m proud to say I’ve grown up right here in District 218, starting with preschool at the administrative building and eventually graduating from Richards High School in 2021. I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in Social Studies and Secondary Education from North Central College, where I also played four years of tennis. Now, I’m excited to continue being a Cardinal in my first year at Eisenhower! In addition to teaching, I coach tennis in the district and can’t wait to get to know each and every one of my students.
I'm truly excited to get to know each of you and to be part of your learning journey this year. I believe every student brings something valuable to the classroom, and I look forward to seeing your growth, not just academically, but as thinkers, collaborators, and individuals.
We will explore important topics, ask big questions, and challenge ourselves along the way. I’m here to support you and I’m committed to creating a space where everyone feels welcome, respected, and encouraged to do their best.
Let’s make it a great year together!
