The Graduated Licensing Program in the State of Illinois requires the following:

30 hours of classroom instruction
6 hours of BTW with a certified driving instructor
50 hours of driving with an adult over the age of 21 who has had their license for over a year
9 month waiting period of driving with a learners permit

I have had my permit for 9 months, am I eligible to go to the DMV and get my license?

If your name comes up in GREEN, you're good to go to the DMV as long as you have held your permit for 9 months and you are at least 16 years old.

If your name comes up in RED, come see us.
