Hello!
I am the social worker assigned to work with Eisenhower High School's Cardinal Community program. While the Cardinal Community is focused on their freshman year of school, I will work with any student in the program during all four years of high school.
I have worked for CHSD 218 since 2007, but began working in education in 1998. I've worked as a school social worker, counselor or administrator since 2002. I have worked in both private and public schools as well as therapeutic day and residential schools.
As a school social worker, I work with students and families to provide a variety of supports based on individual circumstances. In collaboration with teachers, administration, coaches and community agencies I hope to coordinate services to help with issues including but not limited to social-emotional challenges including depression and anxiety, academic and behavioral struggles at school, substance use or abuse, conflict resolution skill development and safety concerns.
