In addition to the curricular ensembles taught, I direct the following ensembles:
Grading and Retake Policies
As outlined in the student handbook, each of the aforementioned courses follow the CHSD 218 grading scale, which is illustrated as follows:
  • 100%-90% = A
  • 89%-80% = B
  • 79%-70% = C
  • 69%-60% = D
  • 59% or lower = F
Students are allowed to retake any Type 1 assessment (e.g., individual playing exams, CUAs) as many times as they would like before the next graded Type 1 assessment. However, because grading is intended to serve as a snapshot of a student's curricular and musical achievement throughout an extended period of time, it is appropriate all retakes occur responsibly and in a timely manner. Students are expected to communicate with me to schedule all retakes.
