Symphony Orchestra
Welcome to the Symphony Orchestra's webpage! Symphony Orchestra is an extra-curricular musical ensemble that rehearses every Wednesday afternoon from 3:30-4:15pm with winds and percussion, and occasionally during regularly scheduled Orchestra 2 classes in room 339 beginning in January. The Symphony Orchestra performs annually at local middle schools, the spring Orchestra concert, the CHSD 218 Arts Extravaganza, and the IHSA Organizational Music Festival. Participation in this ensemble is required by every student enrolled in Orchestra 2 (652), but optional for winds and percussionists enrolled in Honors Performance Band (602). Based on the needs of the Orchestra 2 curriculum however, this ensemble may not run every year.
